Take Surf Lessons
Ever thought of surfing in Hawaii but were always intimidated by the potential massive waves? You can at least get the basics done and prep for bigger surf adventures by taking surf lessons in Kilauea.
Sunrise Surf Lessons is your definitive source for learning to surf along the coast of Kauai. Call the trainers at (808) 651-4359 to schedule a lesson ahead of time. Surf lessons are available by appointment only from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Paddleboard rentals are also available.
The Moloaa Bay Beach
Moloaa Bay is beyond words. The lush and crystalline waters deliver quite the experience. You can explore the bay waters on a boat tour or right off Kilauea’s beaches. Visitors should be aware of the water conditions before swimming.
Rip currents are common around Kauai, and the beach doesn’t have a lifeguard on duty. Combined with no cell phone reception and a secluded, winding road just to reach the area, Moloaa Bay can be a peaceful escape from the world.
But that also means that in case of a crisis, there is very little that can be done quickly.
